Stepper Motor accommodates microwave tube.
July 12, 2005 - Suited for military and heavy duty automation applications, hollow pancake stepper motor provides 1.8° step angle and 400 oz-in. of torque. At 5.7 in. dia and 1¼ in. thick, motor accommodates microwave tube through 2½ in. central hole. Standard configuration includes ball bearings. Optional coils are available in wide voltage range with bipolar or unipolar configuration.

Hollow Pancake Stepper Motor
Haydon Switch & Instrument, Inc. (HSI) is pleased to demonstrate an example of their technical customizing capabilities to deliver a custom solution to a technical application challenge. This hollow pancake stepper motor has a 2.5 inch hole in the center for a microwave tube and is designed for applications where accurate positioning and high torque are desirable characteristics.
This pancake motor has a 1.8° step angle and provides up to 400 ounce inches of torque. The motor's outside diameter is 5.7 inches and 1 ¼ inches thick. The standard configuration includes ball bearings. Coils are available in bipolar or unipolar configurations and in a wide range of voltages.
Applications include military, heavy duty automation, and any other application that requires precise rotary movement. In addition to this customized motor, HSI also offers standard pancake rotary motors.
