EPD S-Model Thermal Transfer Overprinters from ID Technology

ID Technology, a Pro Mach Operating Partner, today announced the launch of the S-Model thermal transfer overprinter line from Electronic Printing Development (EPD).

“The EPD S-IM and S-CM allow ID Technology to deliver an intermittent, as well as, continuous thermal transfer overprinting solution to the market,” said Alan Shipman, Vice President of ID Technology “these overprinters are ideal for printing directly onto PD, PP, paper and Tyvek®.”

The S-IM is an intermittent overprinter designed primarily for installations on all labeling lines and packaging machines requiring high quality coding. The S-IM model covers a print area of 53mm by 55mm at run speeds of up to 600mm per second.

The S-CM works continuously at speeds of up to 1000 mm per second at 300 DPI covering a print area designed to accommodate even the most complex applications. The S-CM covers a print area up to 53mm by 2400mm without reducing or compromising print speed or quality. The S-CM supports EPD’s patented FADING and RETRACTION technology designed to reduce consumables. Savings of up to 80% on the original ribbon consumption may be achieved.

And best of all, every EPD model is equipped with a 5.7” LCD touch screen featuring an easy, accessible menu structure. The design of the print can be easily adjusted using the touch screen or with external PC software. As an added bonus, all models have an integrated online manual allowing the user to easily reference an explanation of specific functions.
