July 7, 2005 - Manufactured in variety of porosities and materials, disposable syringe filters and transducer protectors are available in 3, 17, and 25 mm sizes in hydrophobic as well as hydrophilic styles. Filters work in medical, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical applications, including small volume HPLC and air or gas venting, while transducer protectors are used in IV and aphaeresis applications to protect pressure transducers from fluid incursion.

HEBRON, IL (June 13, 2005) – Filtertek, a leading designer and manufacturer of filters for the medical, automotive and commercial markets, introduces a complete line of laboratory filters and transducer protectors, designed to meet the specific needs of professionals in the medical field. Filtertek laboratory filters work in a wide array of medical, diagnostic and pharmaceutical applications, including small volume HPLC and air or gas venting. Transducer protectors are used in IV and aphaeresis applications to protect pressure transducers from fluid incursion.

Filtertek offers disposable 3 mm, 17 mm and 25 mm syringe filters and transducer protectors that are manufactured in a variety of porosities and materials. A new 50 mm product will be introduced this fall. These laboratory filters are ideal for aqueous, gaseous and solvent applications.

The 3 mm filters come in 1.2 micron hydrophoic and 5.0 micron hydrophilic sizes. There are also 5.0 and 20 micron filter sizes available. The 17 mm filters come in 0.2, 0.45, 0.8 and 5.0 micron hydrophobic sizes. There are also 0.2 micron hydrophilic filter sizes available. The 25 mm filters come in 0.2m 0.45, 1.2 and 15 micron hydrophobic sizes. There is also a 5.0 micron hydrophilic size available.
