Outdoor Detectors Offers High Levels of Detection While Eliminating False Alarms
At the recent Ifsec exhibition in Birmingham, ROKONET launched its new WatchOUT outdoor detector series.
With the WatchOUT series, ROKONET has come to terms with one of the most vexing problems of security installers – maintaining high levels of detection in the outdoor environment while eliminating the high numbers of false alarms due to the unstable nature of this environment.
WatchOUT has unique selective event recognition capability that allows it to differentiate between false alarms and real intrusion events using Two PIR channels and Two MW channels– the first detector of its kind to do this. WatchOUT’s innovative Sway-Recognition Technology (utilizing Two MW channels) measures the travel distance of approaching and receding targets - identifying whether the target is a swaying branch or a moving intruder. The Digital Correlation Technology (Two PIR channels) compares the signals of two independent PIR channels, ensuring that only targets returning a similar signal in both channels qualify as potential threats. WatchOUT has flexible installation options using swivels to suit any terrain.
