June 21, 2005 - Suited for 4-stroke motorcycle engines, Lubrizol® 6844 offers controlled and stable friction properties and provides thermal oxidative stability and wear protection. Additive lubricates engine, gear, and clutch systems and does not contain friction modifiers. Recommended at 7.4% by weight, Lubrizol® 6844 delivers JASO MA performance in different viscosity grades and exceeds JASO MA performance as per 4-stroke motorcycle T903-98 specification.

New Lubrizol Additive Offers Unique Protection for Motorcycles

CLEVELAND, OH, May 20, 2005 – Engine oils can now better meet the unique demands of increasingly sophisticated 4-stroke motorcycle engines with the new Lubrizol® 6844 additive from Lubrizol.

Lubrizol® 6844 does not contain friction modifiers. It offers controlled and stable friction properties specifically designed for motorcycle applications and provides reliable thermal oxidative stability and excellent wear protection. Bench tests and field testing confirm that Lubrizol® 6844 is highly efficient in lubricating engine, gear and clutch systems and that it ensures trouble-free engine, transmission and clutch performance.

Recommended at 7.4 percent by weight, Lubrizol® 6844 delivers JASO MA performance in different viscosity grades and exceeds the JASO MA performance as per the 4-stroke motorcycle T903-98 specification.
