Great Lakes Air Systems Introduces the BinVac Smoking Parts Hood

New RoboVent Product Captures Air Containments From Smoking Parts Returns Clean Air to the Plant.

Columbus, OH—May 10, 2005— Great Lakes Air Systems has introduced the RoboVent BinVac Smoking Parts Hood, an air filtration system for the welding industry that captures the smoke, debris, and contaminates in the air from smoking parts and returns clean air to the plant.

The BinVac traps and purifies 100 percent of the smoke from parts that are still smoking after being welded through its unique curtained design. BinVac removes airborne contaminants before they can settle on the plant's floors, walls, and machinery making the plant not only cleaner, but safer as well.

"Many welding plants overlook smoke generated by parts after they have been welded and are still cooling. The BinVac, with its curtained design mounted over the parts bin, eliminates this hidden source of contaminants and health risks," said Jim Reid, vice president of Great Lakes Air Systems.

The BinVac's self-contained design enables it to be moved around the plant with ease and without the need to re-configure ductwork. Great Lakes Air Systems can install the BinVac in as little as one hour and its simple design requires no training to operate.

The BinVac's filter system needs minimal maintenance and filter changes. The BinVac also carries the RoboVent warranty for parts and labor to ensure that the system always operates safely and efficiently.

Great Lakes Air Systems is a family owned manufacturer of all RoboVent products as well as other innovative, environmental air filtration products for the welding industry that keep employees healthier, manufacturing facilities cleaner, and improve plant operation efficiency and profitability. In business since 1989, Great Lakes Air Systems is based in Clawson, Michigan with sales in excess of $6.5 million.
