Lincoln Electric LF-74 Wire Feeder Features MaxTrac™ Heavy Duty Wire Drive System
• Rugged 4-roll MaxTrac™ cast wire drive delivers consistent feeding force for tough applications
• Designed for large diameter wire, longer gun cables or especially long boom conduit work
• Unit comes complete with control cable and drive rolls
Cleveland, Ohio – High production job shops and manufacturing environments will appreciate the reliable performance provided by the LF-74 wire feeder from The Lincoln Electric Company. The heart of the new feeder is the highly engineered 4-roll MaxTrac™ heavy-duty cast aluminum wire drive system, which delivers consistent feeding force for tough applications.
Intended for MIG and metal-cored or flux-cored wire welding, the LF-74 is best suited for large diameter wires, longer gun cables and especially long boom conduit or hard automation applications. In addition to great mild steel performance, the LF-72 delivers positive arc starting and feeding with stainless steel and aluminum.
This semiautomatic wire feeder can accommodate .023” – 1/16” MIG wire diameters and .030” – 5/64” flux-cored wire diameters at wire feed speeds of 50-800 inches per minute. The LF-74 is available in three models: a base model; a heavy-duty bench model; and a heavy duty, high torque bench model. Both of the bench models can accept up to 60-pound reels.
The LF-74’s four, gear-driven wire drive rolls slide on and off easily, requiring no tools for changeovers. Lincoln’s patented split wire guides provide full support of the wire throughout the LF-74’s drive path, eliminating birdnesting (wire tangling). The unit’s brass-to-brass gun connections result in better electrical conductivity for improved arc performance. On the control panel, the unit’s calibrated wire feed speed dial ensures precise and accurate settings.
Standard features offered at no additional cost include a 10 foot control cable with new Speed Nut™ connector for easy system set up and drive rolls for 035” – .045” diameter wire.
The LF-74 is compatible with a host of Lincoln industrial power sources, including: CV-305, CV-400, CV-655, Invertec® V350-PRO, Invertec V450-PRO, DC-400, DC-600, DC-655 and STT-II.
Manufactured under a quality system certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental standards, the LF-74 features a three-year warranty on parts and labor.
Lincoln Electric is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment.
