Multifunctional Products meet workgroup requirements.
June 6, 2005 - Models ES3640e and ES1624n enable medium to large and small and medium workgroups to print, copy, scan, and network fax with one solution. Powered by EFI Fiery technology, ES3640e includes duplex single-pass document feeder. Digital ES1624n MFP enables network-ready printing and copying of up to 16 ppm (color) or 24 ppm (monochrome). Administrators can assign identification codes to users, tracking MFP use for individuals or workgroups.

Two Color MFPs Introduced

Oki Data Americas introduced two color multifunctional products (MFPs) expected to deliver fast, high-resolution colors for various workgroup sizes. The ES3640e MFP and ES1624n MFP will allow workgroups to print, copy, scan and network fax with a single, capable, high-performance solution. These two MFPs were introduced on May 3, 2005 at Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
May 21, 2005 – Multifunctional Peripherals are being evaluated as replacements to the expensive products found in most office environments. As such, the ES3640e MFP and ES1624n MFP, two color multifunctional products were introduced by Oki Data Americas as response to the challenge of finding devices that can truly meet the needs of workgroups without compromise. The two MFPs combine Oki Data Americas digital LED technology leadership and color excellence to become a color creation center to meet all workgroup’s needs.
The ES3640e MFP is designed for medium to large work groups while the ES1624n MFP is for small and medium workgroups. Both of these MFPs enable workgroups to print, copy, scan and network fax with a single, capable, high-performance solution. These two new OKI Printing Solutions MFPs come with a wide variety of paper and document handling capabilities. They also have the ability to print transparencies, envelopes and banners up to 12.9" x 47.24."
The ES3640e MFP come from OKI Printing Solutions, powered by EFI Fiery technology and is already noted, upon introduction, as one of the fastest, high-resolution color MFPs on the market. This MFP includes an innovative duplex single-pass document feeder for scanning and copying input. The document feeder could scan both sides of a color page simultaneously. It is available in a Graphic Arts edition that can provide professional color results especially for environments that demand high quality of commercial print output.
On the other hand, the ES1624n MFP from OKI Printing Solutions also is considered as one of the fastest multifunctional systems in its class. It can enable network-ready printing and copying of up to 16 ppm in color and 24 ppm in monochrome. ES1624n MFP is a digital performer that can set up even if space is limited. Desktop convenience or easy access to walk-up copying and quick network printing and scanning is assured. With this features, it can deliver cost-effective operation and exceptional return on investment with reliability, long-lasting consumables and competitive cost per copy (CPP) that closes the gap between color and mono printing.
Security and accountability is considered highly as the two units were being designed. Administrators of these two MFPS are given the ability to assign individual identification codes to users, tracking MFP use for individuals or workgroups. Also, it has the ability to restrict access to address books and with email and FTP functionality. Each of these units come with a job accounting utility for tracking of print and copy usage.
These two MFPs were launched as a continuing proof of Oki Data Corporation’s leadership and innovation in color printing. These MFPs is a continuing line through the seven generations of printing technologies advanced by Oki Data Corporation.
