Industry’s First & Only Impactable Sectional Door Under $750 Debuts From Rite-Hite

The cost difference of this impactable, low cost and low maintenance door versus conventional sectional doors is paid back after one impact.

MILWAUKEE—Rite-Hite Doors, a leading manufacturer of industrial doors, has introduced Steel-Rite™ II, the industry’s first and only impactable sectional dock door for under $750.

The Steel-Rite II’s slightly higher cost versus a conventional overhead sectional door is offset after withstanding just one impact when it delivers a full payback based on the average repair or replacement expenses for damaged sections, tracks, and rollers.

While it appears like a conventional sectional door, the Steel-Rite II’s resilient bottom two Aketon™ faced sections minimize surface damage from forklift bumps and hits. Panel Saver™, a patented pivoting roller assembly is designed to break away from the tracks upon impact, thus preserving the structural integrity of the sections, rollers and tracks. Immediate reattachment of the lightweight sections (Panel Saver assemblies) not only saves energy, but is also easy, ergonomic, and doesn’t require a service call, tools, or replacement parts.

In addition to limiting maintenance costs, downtime, and lost productivity, the Steel-Rite II’s energy-saving design incorporates a full perimeter seal with a sectional option for insulated inner cores. Steel-Rite II’s quick and easy reattachment capabilities also minimize cooling or heating losses and security breaches due to a non-operable dock door.
The Steel-Rite II is a lightweight, lower cost option to the anchor product of Rite-Hite’s impactable sectional door series; the Workhorse™ 1000.

Rite-Hite Doors, is a Milwaukee, Wis.-based manufacturer of industrial high performance interior, exterior, and cold storage doors designed for increased safety, productivity, and reduced operating costs.
