Amtak Announces Introduction of New Tack-Mount™ Which 'Nails' Cable Tie Mounts To Metal

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI May 20, 2005 – Amtak Fasteners announces the introduction of its Tack-Mount™ fastener. Designed for quick and permanent fastening of cable tie mounts to metal without the drilling required by other fastening methods or surface preparation required by adhesives. The Tack-Mount is manufactured from special impact resistant plastic and has a pre-inserted hardened steel Metal-Tack. Amtak developed the Tack-Mount with PANDUIT™, the leading brand of cable ties.

To fasten, the installer places the Tack-Mount on the tip of an Amtak air tool, positions it and impacts the fastener and mount directly into steel, aluminum or cast iron. The Tack-Mounts are permanently secured to the metal but are still able to rotate for final alignment. Tack-Mount dimensions are .860” W x .375” H.

Amtak, a Division of Gripnail Corporation, has been a leader in the business of fastening to the surface of metal for more than 30 years. Its unique fasteners include Metal-Tacks, Punch-Pins, Twist-Tacks and Gripnails. Amtak also employs a “systems approach” by developing specialized application equipment to install each type of fastener.
