Thomas & Betts Introduces Tamper-Resistant Steel City? Nonmetallic Overlapping Faceplates For Surface Raceway

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - May 23, 2005 - Thomas & Betts announces the introduction of its new Steel City? Nonmetallic Overlapping Faceplates for SR600 Metallic Surface Raceway. The new overlapping faceplates offer increased tamper resistance, an important feature for school and municipal building installations, which are primary applications for SR600 Raceway. In addition, the new faceplates feature a unique one-piece design with patented two-step latches for quick and easy installation. By eliminating the need for precise cuts on the raceway and eliminating loose parts that can be easily lost, Steel City Nonmetallic Overlapping Faceplates save commercial contractors valuable installation time. The faceplates can accept two device plates for power and data connections and are ideal for dual voltage applications featuring SR600 raceway with a factory-installed voltage divider.

Available in ivory or gray, the Steel City Nonmetallic Overlapping Faceplates are UL listed and CSA approved.
