They are suited for central vacuums, material handling, food service equipment, car washes, business machines, and animal grooming.

Ametek Commercial Motors Introduces New FLO-TEK 700™ Motor-Blower Line
KENT, OH, -- AMETEK Commercial Motors Division has developed a new line of high airflow CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) motor-blowers targeting industries that require high airflow and medium pressure. Aptly named FLO-TEK 700™, the new line of motor-blowers is available with either a brushless (Switched Reluctance) or brush-type (Series Universal) drive motor.
The FLO-TEK 700 motor-blower utilizes a new fan and housing design optimized for performance in the range of 70" to 90" sealed vacuum and up to 300 CFM. The motor-blower is more compact in size and offers increased overall efficiency versus comparable regenerative blowers. Those features provide for a range of new application options for many market segments, including central vacuums, material handling, food service equipment, car washes, business machines and animal grooming.
The compact, lightweight design of the FLO-TEK 700 makes it suitable for portable machines. In addition, many current multi-motor applications may instead utilize a single FLO-TEK 700 motor-blower, significantly lowering installation costs. The FLO-TEK 700 Series incorporates an airflow bracket made of die-cast aluminum that provides a rugged platform with improved efficiency.
The Series Universal version of the FLO-TEK 700 utilizes a redesigned motor lamination that increases motor efficiency and allows for higher motor speeds. When coupled with the newly designed fan system, the result is greater efficiency, higher air watts and up to 300 CFM capability making it an attractive alternate to currently available regenerative blowers. The brush-style Series Universal FLO-TEK 700 also features an improved grade of replaceable brushes that provide it with greater than 1500 hours of life expectancy.
For applications requiring even greater life expectancy, the brushless Switched Reluctance version provides greater than 5000 hours of service. Along with that enhanced motor life, the Switched Reluctance version offers electronic motor control that further simplifies application by eliminating relays and providing variable speed control.
AMETEK Commercial Motors plans to introduce the FLO-TEK 700 blowers into a number of new market segments, while continuing its focus on core commercial vacuum markets and customers.
AMETEK recently launched improved version of its existing line of highly reliable 7.2"-diameter commercial vacuum motors with a new more efficient motor lamination. These powerful, series universal motors have long set the performance standard for the commercial vacuum industry, powering a wide range of products such as floor scrubbers, professional upright and canister cleaners, and central vacuum systems. The FLO-TEK 700 blowers are approximately 10" in diameter and height and 10 lbs in weight. They are available in 120 and 240 single-phase AC and 24, 36,and 48 DC voltages. Performance is available in 70" Sealed and 300 CFM or 90" Sealed and 200 CFM respectively. Maximum peak air watts of 850 have been obtained.
