Redlake's New MotionPro HS-4 Camera Supports Both MAC and Windows Platforms

High-speed Digital Camera Combines Blazing Speed and Easy Integration

San Diego, CA, April 18, 2005 - Redlake announces the launch of the MotionPro® HS-4, highspeed motion camera which was designed with a robust feature set for recording and analyzing high-speed events in research, design, and test environments.

The MotionPro HS-4 delivers 5,000 frames per second (fps) at full resolution with reduced resolution frame rates up to 140,000 fps. The HS-4 is unique in that it supports both MAC® and Windows® platforms with LabVIEW™ or MATLAB® plug-ins. Its standard USB 2.0 interface offers plug-n-play connectivity and multi-camera support. The 100 nanosecond interval between two consecutive images is ideal for fuel spray analysis, wind tunnel measurements, microscopy, and other PIV applications.

The MotionPro HS-4 utilizes advanced-featured architecture for triggering and interfacing to illumination sources, such as strobes and lasers. It also provides greater mobility for fitting cameras into tight locations and creating a network of cameras for multi-angle views. The intuitive MotionPro Central control software makes for easy set-up and camera operation. In addition, a software developer's kit is included complete with C++ source code for customization of camera controls.

Keith Russell, Director of Marketing for Redlake says, "Redlake's new HS-4 offers excellent resolution to frame rate performance for accurate high-speed motion analysis. The elimination of the need for an acquisition board allows the customer to connect to virtually any platform."

Other MotionPro HS models available support resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 with up to 900 fps at full resolution.

The MotionPro HS-4 of camera is available for immediate delivery.
