Worksafe™ Flashlight Series from Bright Star Lighting Products Carries Most Stringent Safety Rating Available

May 4, 2005 (Hanover Township, Pa) Officials at Bright Star Lighting Products announce the availability of its WorkSAFE(tm) family of safety-rated flashlights. Carrying the most stringent safety rating UL 783 Class I, Division 1 WorkSAFE flashlights minimize the potential risks of working in hazardous environments.

According to Bright Star's Sales and Marketing Director Matt Malcolm, industrial professionals working in or around flammable gases and liquids, combustible dusts and ignitable fibers may not realize the potential risks of operating a flashlight in these conditions. "Under certain circumstances, flashlights can ignite, putting the user at risk," advises Malcolm. "For this reason, industrial users working in hazardous environments should use only use our WorkSAFE flashlights. Each of the models is UL 783 Class I Division 1 approved to provide the most protection from the risks associated with certified hazardous locations."

"Industrial users may expect our safety rated flashlights to be priced significantly higher than comparable non-safety-rated lights," Malcolm continues. "This can be the case with some lights, but not our WorkSAFE lights. They are affordably priced at just a few dollars more than most general purpose lights."

The WorkSAFE line includes five distinct models:

• Model #2106 Using four "AA" alkaline batteries, this lightweight headlamp delivers 5,000 candlepower and weighs a mere4.6 ounces. Its swivel lamp housing enables the light to be directed where needed.
