Laser Welding Machine has 5-axis, offset head design.
May 18, 2005 -
Featuring Windows-based control system for programming, job setup, and parts cutting, VZ2 multi-axis, 3D laser welding/cutting system transfers laser energy directly to welded area. Its CO2 laser-welding head has reflective parabolic mirror system that enables non-contact welding with no magnetic field effects. Thick-plate cutting head, with capacitance height sensor, cuts up to .75 in. mild steel. Heads can be exchanged within 15 min.

VZ2 Delivers Multi-Purpose Flexibility with Offset Head Design
Wood Dale, IL - Mitsubishi's new VZ2 high-performance, three-dimensional multi-axis laser welding/cutting system offers the ultimate in speed, accuracy and flexibility for users across a wide range of complex laser applications.
Heads on the VZ2 can be exchanged within fifteen minutes for incredible efficiency. Its high power welding head has a reflective parabolic mirror system for optimized welding performance. This CO2 laser-welding head enables non-contact welding, no magnetic field effects and stronger welds. Its five-axis standard offset head has been optimized for cutting a wide range of materials and thicknesses. A thick-plate cutting head, with capacitance height sensor, cuts up to .75" mild steel.
VZ2's laser energy is directly transferred to the welded area, creating its high-speed welding capabilities. The machine's control system not only gives the user a powerful and easy-to-use interface, it delivers optimum welding accuracy. This Windows-based control system delivers maximum speed and flexibility during programming, job setup and parts cutting.
Since introducing the first laser cutter in 1987, Mitsubishi Laser has occupied dominant positions in engineering, electronics, manufacturing and product development.
