May 11, 2005 - Designed for IP-based systems operating on LAN/WAN, WJ-ND300 offers scalable operation and ability to record cameras from various manufacturers. Digital recorder facilitates installation with auto IP detection and set-up. Performance features include refresh rate of 960 ips from 32 cameras using MPEG4; multi-format recording (JPEG/MJPEG/MPEG4); and data stream control between live and recorded images. Unit supports up to 4 optional, on-board hard drives.

Panasonic Debuts New Network Disk Recorder For IP-Based System Configurations

New Unit Designed For High Performance Recording Over A LAN/WAN.

Las Vegas, NV (April 6, 2005) – Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), is displaying a new digital recorder designed specifically for IP-based systems operating on a LAN/WAN. The new WJ-ND300 Network Disk Recorder offers scalable operation with numerous system features and expansion capabilities plus the ability to record cameras from a variety of manufacturers.

“Panasonic Security Systems’ new Network Disk Recorder offers a higher level of digital recording based on systems configured specifically for use in an IP-based LAN/WAN environment,” said Steve Surfaro, Director of the Enterprise Project Group, Panasonic Security Systems. “The unit is designed with fast throughput to provide systems designers with the performance attributes and versatility they need when configuring systems with multiple control and recording points along the network.”

The WJ-ND300 Network Disk Recorder is designed for ease of installation with auto IP detection and set-up. Performance features include: high performance transmission; a refresh rate of 960ips @32 cameras (MPEG4); multi-format recording (JPEG/MJPEG/MPEG4); data stream control between live and recorded images; up to four optional hard drives can be installed on-board the unit with the addition of an optional external RAID 5 and/or expansion modules capable of housing up to 28 hard drives for extended recording and archiving applications; extensive management control capabilities; and the dispersed configuration with software control when configured with Panasonic’s Management Software.
