New SMD True SineWave VCXO from Crystek Provides High Frequency and Low Phase Noise Floor Performance

Fort Myers, FL, April 2005 – Crystek Crystals Corporation has launched the CVSS-940 – a True SineWave Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) providing -150dBc/Hz noise floor and +/-50ppm Min. APR pullability. This high performance VCXO is available in the industry standard 9x14mm SMD package.

The CVSS-940 VCXO generates frequencies between 77.760MHz and 500MHz, with output level of 0dBm min into 50 Ohms and Harmonics lower than -20dBc. The CVSS-940 consumes 25mA Typical and 30mA Max current @ 3.3 volts. The CVSS-940 has low or no sub-harmonics depending on frequency due to the use of Inverted Mesa (High Frequency Fundamental Crystal) technology.

The CVSS-940 is ideal for telecom applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet, broadband networks, SONET/SDH/DWD, network/switch, and ATM communications. For industrial and other rugged uses extended temperature operating range of -40°C to +85°C and other custom specifications are also available.

The Crystek CVSS-940 SineWave VCXO is priced starting at $24 ea. in volume, depending on specification. For additional pricing details, contact Crystek Crystals Corp. Product is also available directly from Mouser Electronics (www.mouser.com), which maintains a large selection of Crystek's High Performance Product line.
