DI Software facilitates post-production in digital cinema.

It can record and play out data in any format, resolution, bit-depth, color space, or file type in real-time without conversions. Included tool-set offers functionality for primary and secondary color correction, pan-and-scan, rotation, flip/flop, and cropping. OpenFX plug-in interface enables use of third-party effects.

CLIPSTER® now embraces 4K Digital Cinema format and provides a finishing tool-set with Color Correction and Color Management.

Las Vegas, NV USA - April 18, 2005. At the NAB show DVS Digital Video Systems (DVS) introduces exciting innovations in Version 2.0 of its one-stop DI system CLIPSTER®. With real-time power, 4K format and secondary color correction in one system, CLIPSTER takes DI to the highest level for post production and Digital Cinema.

In the new version 2.0, DVS’ DI flagship CLIPSTER has developed into an all-encompassing film conforming and finishing system, providing the highest level of quality (real uncompressed video in 4K RGB 12bit) combined with extreme performance (2K RGB 12bit transitions in real-time, multi video formats, real-time effects).

CLIPSTER records and plays out data in any format, any resolution, bit-depth, color space or file type; all in real time without conversions. Real-time conforming and editing with CLIPSTER increases user-productivity and inspires creativity: the editor works with multiple resolutions in real time and freely mixes clips of various resolutions including 4K RGB 12bit on a single timeline. In software version 2.0, CLIPSTER’s visual effects functionality has also grown significantly: CLIPSTER now performs primary and secondary color correction, pan-and-scan, rotation, flip/flop, cropping and transitions in real-time. The OpenFX plug-in interface enables a huge range of additional 3rd party effects. Advanced functionality makes conforming, finishing and versioning of the completed film, in any desired format, both comfortable and extremely fast. To get the right film look during grading, CLIPSTER V 2.0 uses a real-time 3D Look-up-table. CLIPSTER additionally supports Color Management tools from Kodak and Arri.

The optimised user interface in CLIPSTER Version 2.0 has been designed to be even more intuitive. Together with the multi-video track functionality and new input devices like the trackball color correction panel, CLIPSTER provides an efficient workflow within a very user-friendly environment.

When teamed-up with DVS-SAN - DVS’ premium real-time central DI storage - the workflow really begins to fly. This combination offers enough intrinsic bandwidth, flexibility and file-sharing capabilities to enhance any DI and HD workflow; increasing data throughput and data availability for the production cycle.
