Material Analyzers help meet RoHS and WEEE requirements.

April 18, 2005 - XAN and XDAL instruments measure toxic metals in plastics to meet EU directives RoHS and WEEE, which state that electronic goods and waste may only contain lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium, and bromine up to legally permitted limit. XAN provides results within 30 sec, while XDAL system is suited for programmed measurements of several samples or scanning of larger specimens. Both instruments contain integrated video microscope.

The Fischer material analysis instruments XAN and XDAL are extremely well suited for measurements of toxical metals in plastics materials. Newly implemented EU directives RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronical Equipment) imply, that electronic goods and waste may only contain lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), chromium (Cr) and bromine (Br) up to a legally permitted limit value.
