Streamlight. Introduces Argo HP Luxeon. Headlamp To Its Family Of Headlamps

Ultra-Lightweight, Hands-Free Flashlight Perfect for Industrial Use, Delivering Longevity and Super Brightness

EAGLEVILLE, PA - March 18, 2005 - Streamlight. Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance flashlights, today announced the introduction of the Argo HP Luxeon. LED headlamp to its family of headlamps. Delivering durability, longevity and ultra-bright light at a mere four ounces in weight, the Argo HP is perfect for industrial workers.

The Argo HP features lithium batteries and was specifically engineered to minimize weight and maximize run time. It uses Streamlight's state-of-the-art Luxeon technology, which offers the long life and reliability of an LED with the brightness and range of a conventional bulb, providing up to seven times the brightness of a standard high-intensity LED.

"The Argo HP is a great addition to Streamlight's family of high-performance headlamps because it is made to withstand heavy use without sacrificing effectiveness and functionality," said Walter Kaihatu, Streamlight Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "The Argo HP is particularly useful for industrial use because it provides the ultimate in reliability and the ability to cast ultra-bright light in hard to see areas."

Kaihatu said that for industrial workers, most of whom wear hardhats for safety, the hands-free Argo HP comes with a rubber head strap for use with a hardhat as well as an elastic head strap for general use. He said its center of gravity provides maximum comfort and stability during use.

The Argo HP's two digitally controlled brightness levels allow the user to control power output and maximize runtime. At the higher level, the Argo HP projects its brightest beam, 24 lumens, for a maximum of 4.75 hours. At the lower level, the Argo HP will run for 20 hours and project 6 lumens. Lightweight, ultra-compact, and water-resistant, the Argo HP measures less than three inches wide and is powered by two lithium batteries.

Available in black with an impact-resistant black ABS case, the Argo HP retails for $64.95 and is backed by Streamlight's "No Excuses" limited lifetime warranty.
