Sensing Bumpers offer sensitivity of 20-30 lb.

April 15, 2005 - Hercules Sensing Bumpers are encapsulated in polyurethane shell that meets MIL-STD-810E salt fog requirements and is resistant to many chemicals, lubricants, and solvents. Surface is crush-resistant, impact-resistant, and abrasion-resistant. Available in widths of 4 and 7 in., heights up to 18 in., and lengths up to 16 ft, bumpers feature fail-safe wiring and bolt-on installation. They are suited for wet or dirty conditions and can be used indoors or out.

Encapsulated Sensing Bumper Has a Tough Skin But a Gentle Touch

The new Hercules Sensing Bumper from Tapeswitch Corporation is suitable for use on AGVs, moving work platforms, mobile conveyors, and other moving equipment. Originally designed for a marine environment, it is well-suited for very wet or very dirty conditions and can be used indoor or out.

The bumper is encapsulated in a polyurethane shell that meets MIL-STD-810E salt fog requirements and is resistant to many common industrial chemicals, lubricants, and solvents. The surface is crush-resistant, impact-resistant, and abrasion-resistant.

Hercules bumpers have a sensitivity of 20 to 30 lbs, depending on the model. They feature fail-safe wiring and simple bolt-on installation. They are available in widths of 4 and 7 in., heights up to 18 in., and lengths up to 16 ft. Life expectancy is 3 million operations at any point.
