Central-Flo Upflow Continuous Backwash Filters Provide Superior, Consistent Performance
The Centra-flo(TM) Upflow Filter from Applied Process Technology, Inc., is a highly efficient, continuous backwash sand filtration system designed for superior, consistent performance in all applications requiring the removal of suspended solids. Applications include drinking water filtration, the tertiary treatment of wastewater and the treatment of many types of industrial process waters and wastes. The upflow filter provides a continuous supply of filtered water without interruptions for backwash cleaning cycles. Filter sizes are available with throughputs from 10 to 10,000 gallons per minute (gpm).
The Centra-flo filter combines an upflow design with deep bed filtration and continuous cleaning to achieve high quality filtrate with consistently low headloss at varying flow rates. With Centra-flo, there are no shutdowns for backwash cycles, no internal or external moving parts, and its continuous backwash design provides a steady reject stream that eliminates backwash hydraulic surges.
