Incorporating 2 clamping jaws that require only turning of central screw for tightening, H4538 vise provides positive clamping of 1 or 2 independent workpieces in same set-up. Workpiece height ranges are 2.36-3.74 in. and 3.15-4.53 in., with latter height achieved by relocating clamping jaws at higher level. Jaws can be inverted to provide clamping range of 0.79-2.36 in., and removable side stops enable quick alignment of repetitive workpieces.

Hirschmann Engineering Introduces New "Monster" Vertical Vise for Wire EDM
HIRSCHMANN Engineering USA, Inc., Buffalo Grove, IL announces the availability of a newly designed "Monster" vertical vise H4538, a "sister" to the popular H4537 "Mighty" vertical vise introduced last year. Developed for use with HIRSCHMANN's popular Fixturing System 4000, this new product provides quick and positive clamping of one or two independent workpieces in the same set-up with twice the holding strength of other similar devices.
The H4538 vise incorporates two separate clamping jaws that require only the turning of a central screw for tightening. No supporting spacers or jackscrews are needed as with "Toe-clamp" type devices. The clamping jaws were designed for minimal obstruction above the top of the workpiece.
The clamping jaws have two workpiece height ranges, 60 - 95mm (2.36"-3.74") and 80 - 115mm (3.15"- 4.53"). The latter clamping height is achieved by simply relocating the clamping jaws at a higher level. The jaws can also be inverted to provide a clamping range of 20mm - 60mm (.79"-2.36"). Near collision free clamping is possible from 80 - 115mm (3.15"-4.53").
Removable positive side stops are standard on both sides of the vise for quick alignment of repetitive workpieces. The H4538 mounts directly to all of the pallets in the HIRCHMANN 4000 System Series. It also incorporates a removable spacer so the bottom of the workpiece can be aligned at the "Zero" line or 6mm above to avoid nozzle interference by the lower support plate.
The H4538 is now available for delivery from stock.
