Quiet Just Got Quieter

Chicago Blower is pleased to announce its newest line of plenum fans, the Design 5120. The fans are specifically designed to assist Air Handler Unit manufacturers meet new industry standards requiring higher efficiencies and quieter operating sound levels. The Design 5120 achieves these objectives while maintaining reliability at a decreased cost.

Chicago Blower has modified its well recognized quiet airfoil wheel to improve its efficiencies and sound. The combination of a deep spun inlet cone, hyperbolic wheel cone, and wider wheel has improved the critical glide path to improve sound quality as well as decrease the sound levels.

The fan builder has also completely re-engineered the structural support by replacing the more expensive manufacturing technique of welded angle iron with newly engineered formed steel component parts permanently bonded using aircraft grade fasteners.

The D/5120 plenum fan is available in wheel sizes from 135 to 807 with capacities to 190,000 CFM and pressures to 18" wg. Details, performance ratings, and dimensions are included in Bulletin 5120-100. The ratings along with fan curves and sound data is available on Chicago's fan.net computer selection program. Also available is Chicago's state of the art dimensional program, creating a custom scalable AutoCAD drawing with less than five clicks of the mouse.
