PCI Universal Time Interval Counters have 3U form factor.
April 14, 2005 - With 14 pre-defined measurement functions, GC22x0 Series features internal clock source, programmable ARM source, and microprocessor. Model GC2210 measures frequencies from DC to 225 MHz with 9-digit resolution, while GC2220 measures from DC to 1.3 GHz with 100 pS resolution. Each input channel is programmable for 1 Megohm or 50 ohm input impedance. Able to determine any frequency to 0.1 ppm in 1 ms, GC2230 covers frequencies up to 2.0 GHz.

Geotest Introduces New Family of PCI Universal Time Interval Counters
Irvine, Calif (March 17, 2005) Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., announce a new line of 3U PCI Universal Time Interval Counters--the GC22x0 Series. The GC2210 measures frequencies from DC to 225 MHz with 9 digits (1nS) resolution. The GC2220 measures frequencies from DC to 1.3 GHz with 100pS resolution. Each input channel can be programmed for high (1 MOhm) or low (50 Ohm) input impedance. The GC2230 covers frequencies up to 2.0 GHz and can determine any frequency to 0.1 parts per million (seven digits) in just 1 ms and resolve each time measurement to 100 pS. This allows for increased accuracy as well as reduced measurement time.
Fourteen pre-defined measurement functions are included to measure frequency, period, pulse width, time interval, and more. Every GC22x0 has an internal clock source and supports and external reference source. A programmable ARM source provides internal or external arming with positive or negative slope.
The GC22x0 Series counter timers use an on-board microprocessor with embedded firmware to off-load processing tasks from the main CPU. It uses high-density, low-power field programmable gate arrays to perform complex logic tasks. Reciprocal counting techniques are used to achieve high resolution measurements on lower frequency signals without sacrificing measurement time. Additionally, the counter includes an on-board timebase - 10 MHz TCXO- for internal frequency reference. An external input is provided for external timebases. Other options will include an enhanced stability feature.
"The GC22x0 Series extends our counter and timing capabilities into the PCI arena," said David Manor, Vice President of Engineering. "This allows our customers to have even greater flexibility when designing their test applications."
