Sirius 3UG4 monitoring Relay can be flexibly adapted using wide range of parameter settings such as: phase sequence, asymmetry, undervoltage or overvoltage, delay times, and reset response. Unit has wide voltage range of 160-690 V. Unit is equipped with a display. Indication of actual value and type of fault facilitates installation and fault diagnostics. Together with contactor reversing combination, relay automatically corrects an incorrect phase sequence.

The new 3UG4 monitoring relays belonging to the Sirius family from Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) can be flexibly adapted to the respective application. To achieve this, a wide range of parameter settings are available, such as phase sequence, asymmetry, undervoltage or overvoltage, delay times and reset response. The new units are characterized by a wide voltage range. All mains voltages worldwide are covered by the possible range of 160 to 690 V. The units are equipped with a display. Indication of the actual value and the type of fault facilitates installation and fault diagnostics. Together with a contactor reversing combination, the new monitoring relays automatically correct an incorrect phase sequence.
Background information:
Monitoring relays protect motors and plants by checking the setpoints of mains-related, load-dependent and application-based variables. This provides a high availability for stationary equipment for transportation of persons, such as elevators, and for transportable equipment such as refrigerated containers, cranes or site compressors.
