Simrit Introduces Fas-N-Sealâ„¢ Fastener Seal Product Line

Available for Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial Applications

CHICAGO, March 7, 2005 - To help meet customer demand for a standard line of fastener seals, Simrit - the industrial products division of Freudenberg-NOK - is introducing the Fas-N-Sealâ„¢ product line at the National Design Engineering Show here today. This extensive line of fastener seals features metal retainers with integrated elastomeric material and is pressure-tested to a range of pressure requirements.

This innovative product line and Simrit's other industrial sealing and precision-molded elastomeric components are on display at booth #1744.

"As the Technology Specialist in industrial sealing, Simrit is committed to ensuring its customers have the latest innovations to fit their needs and we're excited to add Fas-N-Seal to our list of world-class products," said Joel T. Johnson, vice president of technology for Simrit. "With our specialized product focus, global capability and unmatched sealing expertise, Simrit will continue to be at the forefront of technology and offer our customers cutting-edge sealing solutions."

The Fas-N-Seal product line offers several benefits, which include a bonded design to prevent displacement under internal pressure, an immediate visual confirmation upon installation, a metal retainer which serves as a torque limiter to eliminate torque loss during operation and there isn't a need for an O-ring groove, helping to reduce machining costs.

Fas-N-Seal is available in a wide range of Aerospace Material Specification / Military Specification elastomers, including nitrile, fluorocarbon, silicone and fluorosilicone; the metals include aluminum, stainless steel and chrome molybdenum steel. Designed for aerospace applications - meeting NAS 1523 specifications - the Fas-N-Seal product line is also available for automotive and industrial applications.

Simrit's Fas-N-Seal line is supplied through the company's AS9100, ISO 9000 and A2LA approved facility in Santa Ana, Calif.
A market leader in the aerospace, industrial and agriculture/construction market segments, Simrit draws from more than 150 years of experience and well-known brand names including Freudenberg®, NOK®, Disogrin®, Merkel and International Seal®.

The Simrit division is based at Freudenberg-NOK's headquarters in Plymouth, Mich. Freudenberg-NOK is part of the Freudenberg and NOK Group Companies, which have total annual sales of nearly $7 billion. The global Freudenberg and NOK Group offers an extensive portfolio of precision-molded products for the aerospace, agriculture/construction, appliance, automotive, diesel engine, marine, medical and recreational vehicle markets.
