April 4, 2005 - Combining encoder and motor control circuit into one unit, Hercules Smart Encoder automatically adjusts motor speed via PWM signal to modify speed as motor load changes. Unit offers bi-directional shaft direction and is available in shaft sizes of 3/8 and ½ in. Measuring 2.5 in. dia, enclosure is NEMA 6P and IEC IP67 rated with sealing in servo, flush, or flanged mounting. Factory programming includes measurements for direction, distance, speed, and/or acceleration of shaft.

The enclosure is 2.5β in diameter, types NEMA 6P and IEC IP 67, with sealing in servo, flush or flanged mounting. Factory programming includes measurements for direction, distance, speed and/or acceleration of the shaft to which the Smart Encoder is connected. These settings can be changed by the user.
