Chromalox Introduces Corrosion Resistant Blower Heater for Harsh Environments

PITTSBURGH - March 10, 2005 - Chromalox, the world's leading supplier of electric industrial comfort heaters, is proud to announce the availability of our advanced design HD3D corrosion resistant blower heaters for comfort heating and freeze prevention in harsh, corrosive, dirty and wet environments. This new HD3D model replaces the highly successful HDH model as the industry leader in corrosion resistant air heaters.

The HD3D has been designed to allow the user to install the heater to provide either horizontal or vertical airflow. All standard HD3D heaters include low profile stainless steel brackets, making it the only hose-down heater on the market that can be directly mounted to a wall or ceiling. This feature offers savings for the customer by eliminating the added cost of a separate swivel-mounting bracket. Universal swivel brackets are also available for those applications that require the heater to be turned to various angles. Chromalox HD3D heaters are not only UL Approved and CSA Certified for use in USA and Canada, but also CE Marked to meet European standards. The following special features make the HD3D particularly user-friendly:

NEMA 4X control box located on the front of the heater makes access during installation or maintenance convenient.

Special wiring connector provides a watertight seal in the event of replacement of the motor, limit control or elements.

Color-coded wiring, as clearly indicated in the control closure as well as the installation manual, simplifies servicing of the heater.

The pilot light and fan selector switch are located at the bottom of the front control box cover, making it highly visible and convenient for the user.

HD3D applications are varied:

Waste water treatment plants

Coal handling areas

Food processing plants

Foundries & Dairies

Steel mills & Cement plants

Ships & Construction sites

Car washes

Swimming pool areas
