Quest Introduces the QUESTemp° Sentinel Stationary Ambient Heat Stress Monitoring System

Practice the Principle of Management by Exception with an Automated Real-Time Surveillance System

Oconomowoc, WI, January 24, 2005: Quest Technologies Inc, an employee-owned world leader in the development and manufacturer of monitoring instrumentation and software for occupational and environmental health & safety (OEHS) applications, today announced the release of the QUESTemp° Sentinel Stationary Ambient Heat Stress Monitoring System. Experts acknowledge that absent of any kind of monitoring, heat stress induced accidents and injuries can occur within your organization with little or no notice and even result in death. They often go unrecognized as being heat stress related. Quest Technologies has developed the QUESTemp° Sentinel for facilities where environmental conditions and workload can combine to create heat stress hazards.

The QUESTemp° Sentinel performs continuous real-time surveillance of your facilities and provides your designated personnel with the information they need to promptly and effectively intervene in order to avoid or minimize negative outcomes from heat stress. QUESTemp° Sentinel allows you to practice the principle of management by exception. This quite simply means that the QUESTemp° Sentinel tracks and reviews environmental conditions but does not initiate intervention unless action is necessary per your specifications.

Automating WBGT measurements and posting the data on the Internet or your Internet from anywhere in the world eliminates the need for someone taking periodic measurements and manually interpreting and reporting the data. Continuous real-time surveillance is most important wherever environmental conditions or personnel may change throughout the day, week, month or season. Automated action alerts with text messages can be received by email-capable PC’s, cell phones, pagers and PDA’s.
