Fluid Cooler targets HVAC and industrial markets.


February 16, 2005 - Featuring CoolBoost technology, Model MH combines functions of cooling tower and heat exchanger into one closed-loop system. It features mechanical, induced-draft technology with crossflow fill media and coil bundle. Unit handles 100–650 tons of fluids ranging from water to glycols, quench oils, and plating solutions. Cooler protects fluid against contamination and minimizes fouling and scaling tendencies.

Marley Cooling Technologies Introduces the New MH Fluid Cooler With Coolboost Technology

Hybrid Design Yields Up to 10 Percent Greater Cooling Performance

Overland Park, Kan, Feb. 07, 2005 * Marley Cooling Technologies, Inc., a unit of SPX Corporation, unveiled today its new MH Fluid Cooler with CoolBoost* Technology to the HVAC and industrial markets at the AHR Expo being held in Orlando, Florida. The CTI certified MH Fluid Cooler incorporates fill media and more circuits of coil to save valuable footprint space and increase performance by as much as 10 percent when compared to similar systems.

Proven to cool up to 50 gallons per minute more than competitive models with equal footprints, the MH Fluid Cooler combines the function of a cooling tower and heat exchanger into one clean, closed-loop system to provide superior operational and maintenance benefits.

Data for cooling tower:

Recirculation flow: 1800 M3/Hr

System average volume: 330 M3/Hr

Basin Volume: 180 M3/hr

Number of cycle: 5

Make up (city water: amount 70 % ( conductivity= 300-600 ppm, chloride= 70 to 130 ppm, PH=7.8 ,

Malkalinity= 60 to 140 ppm and total hardness=140 to 210 ppm)
Make up (reverse Osmosis) : amount 30 % (cond = 6 ppm, PH= 7, chloride= 5 ppm)

Temperature difference: 5.7 C ( at maximum load)

PH: 8.1 to 8.3 as chemical program

Sodium hypochlorite: .3 ppm

Chloride: 300 ppm

Conductivity: 2380 Ms/cm

This is all data related to cooling tower system and water is used to cooling plant process like condensers, vapor condenser Sheller .

We don’t have any data about heat load of cooling tower and recilculating flow is suitable for design or need to reduce.

Another point area around ofof cooling tower is very dirty so packing is fouling
