Supertex Announces High Voltage TC7320 MOSFET

Expanded Product Offering Targets Medical Ultrasound and Other New applications

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 7 -- Supertex, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUPX) today introduced TC7320 is a six pair high voltage, low threshold N-channel and P-channel MOSFET with integrated gate-source resistor and gate-source zener diode clamps that are desirable for high voltage pulser applications, saving board space and improving performance. TC7320 is specifically designed for medical ultrasound transmitters and non-destructive evaluation in material flaw detection applications, and can also be used as an efficient high performance buffer.

The TC7320FG offers 200V breakdown voltage, 1A output current and low input capacitance. The low input capacitance minimizes propagation delay times as well as rise and fall times. It is available in a compact LQFP package that enables designers to save valuable board space and reduce overall system costs, as well as to improve performance in ultrasound pulser applications.

"TC7320 improves board packing density significantly. One TC7320 replaces a discrete solution comprising six P-channel MOSFETs, six N-channel MOSFETs, twelve zener diodes and twelve resistors." said Ahmed Masood, Director of Marketing at Supertex. "The release of the highly integrated TC7320 boosts Supertex's strength in the medical ultrasound market where our expertise in products utilizing high voltage manufacturing and process capabilities play a pivotal role."

TC7320 further broadens the Supertex offering of enhancement-mode MOSFET Arrays and complements the TC23xx and TC63xx product families.

Unit price for the TC7320FG in 1K piece quantities is US$8.42 each. Samples are available from stock of both the standard and "Green" versions of the part. Lead-time for production quantities is 4 to 5 weeks ARO.
