Wago Introduces the Industries First Push-Wire Connector For AWG #10
Germantown, WI, February 2005 - WAGO Corporation once again leads the industry in announcing the expansion of their WALL-NUTS(tm) 773 Series of push wire connectors with the addition of the AWG #10, 3-conductor, item number 773-173. This new push wire connector was designed to meet the increasing demand by electrical contractors and consumers for a cost-effective, highly dependable AWG #10 push-wire connector that offers a safer, more flexible alternative to traditional twist wire connectors.

The 773 Series of WAGO WALL-NUTS(tm) provide numerous benefits over traditional twist wire connectors. Wiring time is reduced by up to 50% because no twisting and taping is required--the technician simply strips the wire, inserts the conductor and you're finished. The transparent housing allows for visual confirmation of the connection, ensuring greater reliability and reduction in expensive trouble shooting and warranty work. In addition, each connector has a test port for easy testing without re-insertion, are touch-proof and rated to 105oC.
With the addition of the AWG #10 connector, the WAGO WALL-NUTS(tm) are now available in 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 point connectors and can handle the following wire sizes: AWG 10 to 18 Solid Copper, 10 to 16 Stranded Copper, 10 to 22 Tinned Stranded Copper. A unique 4-point version, Part Number 773-124, is available with a special point for an AWG #18 stranded copper wire. This feature simplifies the connection of incandescent light fixtures, dimmer switches, ceiling fans and other accessories to branch and main circuits. WAGO WALL-NUTS(tm) carry the UL and CSA labels, with a 600 volt rating for building installation wiring and 1000 volt rating for lighting fixtures and signs.
