GLASTONBURY, Conn., Jan. 28 -- Shoptech, the leading provider of ERP software for job shops and make-to-order manufacturing shops announces the release of the E2 Shop System version 7.0.
Shoptech has added a number of new, time-saving features that streamline office workflow. The release of the E2 Shop System 7.0 culminates many months of research, development and testing. "The feedback from our Beta customers has been outstanding," stated Richard Ehemann, Chief Technology Officer. The new release includes E2 Advanced Estimating which allows users to replicate their existing estimating methods through customized screens, user- defined fields, and a built-in configurator. Another key feature is the ability to minimize material waste with multiple piece/part nesting. "Estimating is at the core of every business," said Greg Ehemann, VP of Sales. "E2 Advanced Estimating takes estimating to a level never seen before in this marketplace."
Another major enhancement is the new E2 EDI module. EDI, an acronym for Electronic Data Interchange, allows for the electronic exchange of data between E2 users and their respective customers. The new EDI module works with over 1,000 trading partners and can handle order entry, shipping, and billing transactions.
Shoptech has also enhanced its UPS World Ship interface so that packing list information can be sent to UPS and actual shipping rates can be pulled back into E2. Other areas of enhancement include scheduling, accounting, and payroll. "We have enhanced the entire system with innovative ideas from our customers," stated Phillip Hutchinson, President and CEO.
