Aurora Discovery Introduces a New Generation Reagent Dispenser
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 31 - Aurora Discovery today announced it has introduced a new reagent dispenser that enables miniaturization of assays for life science laboratories. The BioRAPTR FRD(TM) workstation is the new generation Flying Reagent Dispenser (FRD). It provides researchers with non-contact bulk dispensing of cells, protein solutions, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solutions, and viscous solutions into low volume microplates. This workstation rapidly dispenses up to eight reagents for volumes starting at 100 nL using on-the-fly motion with extremely high precision and accuracy.
"The BioRAPTR FRD combines the superior dispense performance of the Flying Reagent Dispenser with the company's robust Rapid Transfer Robot (RAPTR) platform," said Larry Lugo, Aurora Discovery's Vice President Operations. "The BioRAPTR FRD is a significant advancement for life science laboratories seeking rapid, low volume dispensing." This product will be showcased at the Laboratory Automation Conference being held in San Jose, California from January 31 to February 3, 2005.
