Leak Detectors sense tip loss in welding cells.

February 1, 2005 - Suited for cooling water in resistance welding cells, DeltaPoint™ leak detectors feature one pair of bench-calibrated, vortex shedding flowmeters that are not affected by dirt in water and have no moving parts. Detectors sense tip loss, compare total inflow and outflow to cell, and monitor flow and temperature in applications involving up to 13 welding guns, robotic work cells, or non-robotic hard tooling. Models accommodate cooling flow up to 12 gpm.

DeltaPoint™ Leak Detectors Sense Tip Loss In Welding Cells

Rocon LLC introduces its DeltaPoint™ series of leak detectors for cooling water in resistance welding cells.

Rocon’s DeltaPoint™ leak detectors sense tip loss in a welding cell by comparing total inflow and outflow to the cell. The non-mechanical instruments provide flow comparisons, detect tip loss and monitor flow and temperature in applications involving up to 13 welding guns, robotic work cells or non-robotic hard tooling. The ability to sense tip loss in multiple weld devices helps maintain welding cell efficiency and increases operational uptime by minimizing equipment failures.

DeltaPoint™ leak detectors feature a pair of vortex shedding flowmeters that require minimal maintenance, are not affected by dirt in water, and have no moving parts to clog, wear or repair. The flowmeters are bench-calibrated to increase reliability by minimizing possibility of nuisance tripping.

Rocon offers DeltaPoint™ leak detectors that require no setup, operate on AC or DC power and can provide SSR or DeviceNet fault outputs. Models in the DeltaPoint™ series accommodate a cooling flow up to 12 gallons per minute.

Rocon is a sister company of Universal Flow Monitors, Inc., manufacturer of flowmeters for resistance welding applications.
