TallyGenicom Introduces Three New Vehicle Printers
Convenient, Durable Vehicle Printers Are Ideally Suited to the Route Delivery and Mobile Application Market
Chantilly, VA, January 17, 2005 – TallyGenicom today announced the launch of the MIP3P, MIP3T, and the MIP3F serial impact dot matrix vehicle printers, continuing its commitment to producing innovative, high quality printing technologies. This new series of vehicle printers offers a new level of flexibility and ease of use to a variety of mobile applications markets.
The MIP3P Portable Printer is a battery-operated tractor-feed printer complete with a shoulder strap allowing it to be used anywhere – in a vehicle, on foot or at a customer site. The printer also has internal paper storage, providing media protection and on-demand printing.
The MIP3T Fixed Mount Tractor Feed Printer is very compact and can be mounted in a variety of vehicle locations, making it ideal for use in any truck or van. It is also the most compact mobile printing choice for 1- to 4-part form printing.
Similar to the MIP3T, the MIP3F is intended for vehicle use and can be mounted in a number of locations. Its compact size and single sheet or individual multi-part forms make it suitable for use in law enforcement and other mobile applications.
Each of the printers in this new series of vehicle printers print at up to 288 characters per second (288 cps @ 12 cpi) and offer a variety of connectivity options, including Bluetooth and RS232 serial, 802.11b and RS232 wireless Ethernet, USB and RS-232, and Centronics parallel and RS-232.
The printers also feature a 2 Million character cassette that is highly compact and provides consistent print quality throughout its life and a precision ribbon shield makes changes quick and convenient. Paper loading is also extremely easy, with print mechanisms that rotate to provide unencumbered access to the tractors. Each vehicle printer is available with ruggedized brackets and vehicle power cords and 110/220v to 12v power converters for use in the office or warehouse. A battery charger is available for the MIP3P Portable Printer.

The introduction of the MIP3P, MIP3T, and the MIP3F continues TallyGenicom’s Power & Performance Unleashed program. In 2003, Tally and Genicom joined forces and combined to create TallyGenicom. The MIP3P is available now through TallyGenicom authorized mobile printer resellers at a MSRP of $2,084, includes battery and charger.
The MIP3Tis available now through TallyGenicom authorized mobile printer resellers at a MSRP of $1,404.
The MIP3F is available now through TallyGenicom authorized mobile printer resellers at a MSRP of $1,466.
