Kitagawa's New PLS Pull Lock Work Gripper Provides Optimum Accuracy and Part Length Control

Schaumburg, IL - (January 17, 2005) Kitagawa's PLS Series Pull Down Work Grippers offer superior part stability during machining center operations. Consistent gripping forces along with axial, pull down actuation, provide accurate length control on the Z axis. These key features can be of significant value to the aerospace industry and other demanding industries. Now there is precision work gripper with the same trusted Kitagawa engineering as their proven lathe workholding equipment.

An alternative to conventional jigs, the PLS Series is suitable for a variety of workholding applications. The PLS Series Work Gripper is fully sealed against chip and coolant contamination, perfect for those tough machining environments. An optional seating detection system is ideal for automated processes requiring feedback from the workholding device, ensuring correct part location.

The compact (low profile for clearance) and lightweight PLS Series is easy to install and set up. The PLS Series is available in 4" , 6" and 8" diameters. Two or more units can be grouped together for even greater productivity.
