Powerful Compact Brushless DC Blower Ideal For Compact Cooling Needs

San Diego, CA - Comair Rotron introduces the 5.3" Airbox DC blower as the solution to the growing challenge of effectively cooling ever-shrinking electronic applications. Designed to
overcome cooling system impedance caused by tight quarters, this blower provides high-pressure airflow within minute spaces of such devices as RAID drives, power supplies, and small 1U
rack-mounts.

The compact Airbox DC blower provides increased performance in a smaller package. Measuring 5.30" square by 1.35" deep (134.62 mm x 34.42 mm), the Airbox weighs only 19.3 oz. (.55 kg). A quiet and efficient cooling unit, the Airbox delivers 30 CFM (14.1 L/s) and a static pressure of 0.7 inches of water, while generating minimal noise of 46.6 dBA.

Available with the Airbox is Comair Rotron's patented ThermaPro-VTM technology. This technology automatically adjusts the airflow based on current temperature needs, minimizing power consumption and noise, and eliminating expensive circuit redesigns. Also available is an automatic restart feature to ensure operation will resume after power failure or overheating. In addition, a tachometer output can be incorporated to monitor performance and assure protection of essential components. The Airbox can also be customized with various lead-wires and
harness assemblies.

Comair Rotron's Airbox meets UL approval ratings and is polarity protected. Both the housing and the polypropylene impeller meet the UL 94V-0 flammability rating. The unit has an operating temperature range of -10°C to 70°C and runs at a standard 24 VDC (nominal).

An ISO-9001 certified company, Comair Rotron is the leading supplier of standard and value-added fans, blowers, and AC motors for a broad range of markets, including telecommunications, medical, industrial, computer peripheral, automotive, and office equipment. Comair Rotron has set the worldwide standard for the design of forced air electronic component cooling devices. Their product lines are sold worldwide and include AC motors, AC and DC fans and blowers, cabinet blowers, and accessories. Since the company was founded, it has produced more than 100 million units for commerce and industry.
