With a steel, black oxide finish threaded body, the plunger pin is steel, hardened and ground. The knob is matte black glass fiber reinforced nylon plastic, not removable, while the lock nut is steel with a black oxide finish.

These Steel Indexing Plungers offer two retracting strokes per plunger diameter, while the nylon plastic hand knob has a maximum heat resistance of 110° C (230° F). The version with the threaded spindle is for applications where a specific knob or special receptacle is required for operation.
