New and Improved ELITE Series II CNC Lathes

Significant upgrades were made to the Elite 8/51 CNC lathe to make it a more outstanding value in its price range. The Elite II-8/51 model is now available with the new sub-spindle and x-axis linear glass scale options. The weight of the machine base was increased, along with the addition of a new door design, an improved operator panel and a more robust tailstock.

In conjunction with re-introducing the Elite II-8/51 model with 2" (51mm) capacity 20C collet-ready spindle, the introduction of the all-new Elite 11-6/42 provides a smaller part-size capacity machine with its 1-5/8" (42mm) 16C collet-ready spindle. Both models can easily be equipped with a thru-hole power jaw chuck. C-axis and live tooling are standard equipment.

The 16C, A2-5 sub-spindle option features a 5-hp/3.7-kW drive system with speeds up to 6,000 rpm. C-axis, threading and rigid tapping are included; a part present sensor is offered.

The base weight was significantly increased by more than 1,000 pounds (454 kg) by adding HARCRETE polymer composite into strategically located cavities in the cast iron base. This greatly adds to the machine's overall stability and damping characteristics for optimum tolerances and surface finishes.

The standard MT No. 3 tailstock offers a robust design for greater stability when machining components between centers. Tailstock motions are now accomplished on linear guideways.
