MRC® 'R-Type' Angular Contact Ball Bearings Can Accommodate Heavier Radial And Thrust Loads

MRC® "R-Type" single-row angular contact ball bearings feature shallow 15º contact angles and counterbored outer rings allowing for a greater number of balls than deep-groove bearings and delivering higher capacities and potentially smaller and lighter design packages. Applications include food-processing and medical equipment, pumps, and industrial machinery where users seek to accommodate heavier radial loads, heavier thrust load in one direction, or combined loads.

MRC "R-Type" bearings are supplied with ABMA C3 radial clearance and can be engineered with custom clearances to satisfy application demands. Available cage types and materials include two-piece pressed steel, ball-riding, bent prong cages; one-piece machined bronze inner ring-riding cages; and one-piece phenolic inner ring-riding cages.

Single and duplex sets of bearings are offered in this product line in extremely light, extra light, light, medium and heavy series. Bore diameters range from 0.3937 in. through 12.5984 in. and 10mm through 320mm, depending on the particular bearing series.

MRC further develops made-to-order (MTO) warranted products through a dedicated MTO program established to meet customized application demands.
