ROPAK(TM) 3A Series of Collapsible Containers Features 32" x 30" Footprint

GEORGETOWN, KY (December 17, 2004) - The new ROPAK(TM) 3A Series of reusable, collapsible containers--manufactured by LINPAC Materials Handling--feature a 32" x 30" footprint. The 3A Series, which features load capacities of up to 2,000 pounds, is available in four different heights: 25", 30", 34", and 39".

Other features include non-sequential folding sidewalls secured by universal latches that can be operated both outside and inside the container. "These design innovations offer users greater convenience, because the sidewalls now do not have to be collapsed in a specific order and allow the operator to reach through the inside of the container to release the sidewalls," explains Todd Turner, senior product engineer at LINPAC Materials Handling. "By eliminating the need for users to travel around the container in a pre-determined sequence, the container's design saves time and increases productivity."

The 3A Series containers offer a choice of 0, 1 or 2 hinged drop doors on the 32" side. The drop doors are mounted with articulating hinges, allowing the open door to lie flat against the side of the container. This provides tighter, safer storage and increased application versatility. The containers also offer 4-way forklift access. Additionally, the containers are available with either a conveyable 2-way or 4-way forklift entry base.

All ROPAK 3A Series containers are made of tough, durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to easily withstand the abuse of multiple return trips while providing superior product protection when compared to other forms of packaging, such as corrugated cardboard.

3A Series containers can be stacked up to 6-high--no racking needed--for better utilization of floor space. The container's sidewall design allows for up to nine label areas per side depending on model height. Custom colors, custom molded logos and label areas, solid deck, lids, ID plates and other options and accessories are also available to help users streamline and organize their distribution process.

The ROPAK 3A Series container is RFID-ready and, as with all LINPAC Materials Handling products, its workmanship and materials are guaranteed with a three-year warranty. These containers may also be recycled at the end of their useful life. LINPAC Materials Handling also offers a variety of logistics solutions to help customers better manage their handling and transportation needs.

LINPAC Materials Handling manufacturers ROPAK(TM) reusable bulk containers and totes. These products are used in warehousing, manufacturing, transportation, distribution and merchandising to replace single trip paper, cardboard and metal packaging. Made of premium grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and copolymer polypropylene (CPP) for durability, LINPAC containers and totes are available in a wide variety of configurations and weight capacities.

LINPAC Materials Handling products serve in a variety of industries, including automotive, plastics, chemicals, textiles, industrial equipment, beverage, fresh produce, meat, poultry and retail grocery. A full range of design, implementation, financial and support services is available.
