Easy Mount Bulk Container Mixers From Neptune Mount To Poly Tote Bin Cap
Lansdale, PA, December 2004 – Neptune Mixer Company has introduced a new Cap-Mount design to allow easy installation of a standard intermediate bulk-container mixer onto any poly tote bin without the need to use custom brackets or fixtures.
The Cap-Mount Tote Mixer consists of a Neptune Series HGL (430 RPM) mixer fitted with a bolted-style 316SS bulkhead fitting. The HGL-based unit allows easy yet thorough mixing of materials in semi-bulk shipping containers.
The Cap-Mount Tote mixer is easily installed on a container with only minimal modification to the plastic tote bin cap (four bolt holes and a shaft clearance hole must be drilled). The cap may also be sent to Neptune for preparation and mounting at no additional charge.
Motors available with Neptune’s Cap-Mount Tote Mixer include electric and air motors rated from 1/2 to 1 HP. Explosion-proof motors are also available. The Cap-Mount Mixer features a folding propeller that is constructed of 316SS and is capable of fitting through a 2-inch opening; the prop’s operating diameter is nine inches.
