TULSA, (Okla.) - November 18, 2004 - With the power of a worm drive, a design more compact than a sidewinder and portability that no table saw can offer, the new Hilti WSC 267-E Circular Saw is like no other. Equipped with Smart Power(TM) and a two-point cutting angle lock to keep the blade securely in place, Hilti again delivers the power and precision you demand so your cuts are clean and accurate every time.
Powerful & Long-Lasting
The Smart Power(TM) system allows the WSC 267-E Circular Saw to maintain constant blade speed under load. With an automatic variable amperage motor, this 13.5 amp tool can significantly overperform when more power is needed. The saw also features six speed settings to let you fit the cutting speed to each job.
Precise for Clean, Accurate Cuts
For increased precision, each saw features a special two-point cutting angle lock for bevel cuts up to 45 degrees. A unique counter-balance system reduces vibration for smooth cutting. The heavy duty cast magnesium base is designed to work with the optional Guide Rail so your saw can be used as a portable table saw.
Design Provides Virtually Effortless Handling
Uniquely positioned on top of the tool, the lower blade guard release is designed to be operated in one fluid motion and keeps your hand away from the blade. The WSC 267-E's compact design and in-line motor make the tool easy to maneuver and allow you to guide the saw along a 2 x 4 from either side of the blade. For added control, the front hand grip is located on the base.
Other features of the WSC 267-E Circular Saw include: a specially designed spindle lock, which disengages the motor, locks the spindle and provides a balanced surface for easy blade change when fully open; a safety switch that must be engaged before the tool will operate; and a directional dust extraction vent, which allows the operator to decide where the dust blows, and can connect to a vacuum to help minimize dust and debris. Hilti also offers an optional parallel guide (rip fence), which features a sturdy twin-guide design for the most accurate guidance along an edge. An assortment of Hilti blades also is available.
