Appleton Intraground Non-Metallic Control Stations Withstand High Impact, Corrosion & Flames

ROSEMONT, IL, December 7, 2004 Appleton Intraground Control Stations feature an enclosure constructed from high-strength thermoplastic polyetherimide, enabling them to withstand crushing impact, corrosive elements, and flames.

The stations are typically used for remote start/stop control of motors in industrial applications, and are especially effective in corrosive environments such as petrochemical and chemical processing plants or paint factories because their non-metallic construction offers unsurpassed resistance. In addition, pilot lights can be installed on a station to provide visual assurance that an electrical function is being performed at a remote or hazardous location

Intraground stations carry a heavy-duty 10 Amp, 600V rating. Dead-end and feed-through models are available, with maximum versatility achieved through the variety of designs Appleton offers its customers, including dozens of combinations of push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights.

The Intraground earns its name from an aluminum grid imbedded into the enclosure that provides complete grounding. The grid will not corrode and doesnąt require special wires, parts or fieldwork during installation.

Appleton Intraground control stations are for use with 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch threaded metal conduit.
