Bar Feeder utilizes hydrodynamic forces for operation.

December 15, 2004 - Mini-Rhinobar single-tube bar feeder is engineered for Swiss type CNC screw machines and small, fixed-head CNC lathes. Oil fills gap between bar stock and feed tube, acting as noise damping support. Oil flow and pressure are controlled with single valve, which also allows for accurate bar control and minimizes vibration. Mini-Rhinobar can be controlled from remote pendant for safe operation. Feed tubes range from ¼â€“1 5/8 in. in 1/8 in. increments.

The Flexible Lexair Mini-Rhinobar® Is Ideal In Any Production Situation

LEXINGTON, KY (December 9, 2004) - The versatile, affordable and compact Lexair Mini-Rhinobar single-tube hydrodynamic bar feeder is ideal for shops where flexibility and customization are required. Feed tubes can be purchased a la carte, allowing for incremental expansion that meets each customer's individual needs.

The Mini-Rhinobar system, designed for high-speed, small stock applications with quick feed tube changeover, is engineered for Swiss type CNC screw machines and small, fixed head CNC lathes. Feed tubes are available in 1/8" increments, starting at 1/4" and ending at 1-5/8".

Like Lexair's larger Rhinobar bar feeder, the design of the Mini-Rhinobar helps reduce shop noise levels while providing improved bar stock stability. Oil fills the gap between the bar stock and feed tube, acting as a noise damping support. As the bar begins to turn, hydrodynamic forces move it toward the center of the feed tube. Centering forces are increased as bar speed increases. Oil flow and pressure are controlled with a single Lexair valve, which also allows for accurate bar control and minimizes vibration.

The front swing-out mechanism includes a large clamp to help reduce bar vibration. The Mini-Rhinobar can be controlled from a remote pendant for safe, easy operation.

Lexair is a manufacturer and marketer of heavy duty, precision hydrodynamic bar feed systems; magazine style short bar loaders; fixed length, direct mount and wrench operated collet chucks; collet workholding systems and CNC bar pullers.
