New Epoxy has Outstanding Chemical Resistance

Master Bond Inc., Hackensack, N.J. has developed a new two component epoxy adhesive, sealant and coating called EP21ARHT-1. This compound features both outstanding chemical resistance and remarkably high thermal stability. Durable and tough this system also has a low thermal expansion coefficient. EP21HTAR-1 offers long term resistance to fuels, oils, ethanol, lubricating compounds and many active organic solvents. Additionally it can successfully withstand long term exposures to strong mineral acid solutions and vapors at elevated temperatures e.g. 200°F and above.

EP21ARHT-1 is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. It has a 2 to 1 mix ratio by weight and cures at room temperatures. Cures can be accelerated by use of heat. EP21ARHT-1 is easy to apply and does not sag or drip even on vertical surfaces. It has minimal shrinkage upon cure.

Master Bond EP21ARHT-1 has excellent adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, cements, woods, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics. It is designed to withstand thermal shock and abrasion. The cured compound is a superior electrical insulator. This unique formulation has a service operating temperature range of -60°F to +350°F.

Master Bond EP21HTAR-1 is available for use in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits. It is a desirable choice for usage in chemical processing equipment, storage tanks, scrubbers, chemical piping etc.
