New MISUMI USA Angle Plates Combine Strength & Precision

SCHAUMBURG, IL, December 1, 2004 - MISUMI USA, INC., a leader in providing custom components to the factory automation industry, has expanded its family of products to include precision cast and welded angle plates for use in mounting fixtures, air cylinders, actuators and motors.

Available in sizes ranging from 3-inches to 18-inches in height, MISUMI plates combine an iron, steel, SS 304 or aluminum casting reinforced for extra strength with straightness and perpendicularity within 0.003 inch over a 6-inch run to guarantee a precision fit with no gaps between the machinery and the plate. Faces and edges have been machined flat, square and parallel.

MISUMI will custom-configure hole sizes and progressions to fit the nature of a product design. In addition, the plates are available with standard pre-drilled mounting hole patterns as well as without holes to allow the customer to drill the plates in-house.

MISUMI angle plates can be shipped in one day for as little as $30.40 (U.S.) per piece. Downloadable CAD drawings of the new angle plates and other MISUMI products in native file formats are available at www.misumiusa.com. These files can be opened in popular CAD programs such as SolidWorks® ProE, Solid Edge and Autodesk where they are easily altered and customized by the engineer to fit exact specifications.

The plates are also featured in the new Version 2 of the MISUMI "Custom Mechanical Components For Assembly Automation" inch catalog. The catalog is free to customers who call 800-681-7475 (local 847-843-9105). It can be ordered at www.misumiusa.com, or by e-mailing inquire@misumiusa.com.
