MIMOT’s New EasyTurn Re-routes Good/Bad PCB’s; Adds Flexibility, Simple Integration with AOI

Irvine, California, USA – MIMOT has added even greater flexibility to PCB assembly with the introduction of its EasyTurn router. EasyTurn is a modular ‘T’- shaped junction that will send a board, on command, in either of two different directions, depending on need. For example, when integrated with an AOI system, EasyTurn can send defective PCB’s to a magazine loader or to a rework station, while failure-free boards move directly to the reflow oven. Plus, EasyTurn automatically adjusts to the specific width of each incoming board to prevent dropping or damage.

EasyTurn is a CAN-Bus controlled unit with full SMEMA compatibility for easy integration into any conveyor line. The T-shaped unit can also be used as a linking unit from two conveyor lines into one reflow oven. EasyTurn is yet another product that underscores MIMOT’s commitment to provide the market with cost-saving products and a higher degree of automation.

MIMOT is a global leader in flexible SMT placement equipment, with facilities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. MIMOT has led the industry in flexible, accurate placement technology for over 25 years, and builds its own board handling modules and precision dispensers as well as its placement machines.
